A unique boutique massage experience tailored to meet the issues in your tissues
Please note all massage times are actual "table times", i.e., a 60 minute massage is really 60 minutes on the table. Please call, e-mail, or text to schedule your appointment.Deep Tissue (Therapeutic Massage)
This style of massage uses strong pressure, slow, deep strokes, and friction across the muscle grain to release chronic tension. This massage is designed to focus on specific areas of concern, i.e., tight shoulders, sore hips, etc. A Deep Tissue massage will incorporate some of the relaxing strokes from the Swedish massage, but it also utilizes other "tools": soft fists, elbows, and/or various sides of the forearm. It all depends on the area of attention.
Sports Massage (Workout Companion)
Available in 30, 60, or 90 minute sessions. Sessions include a combination of stretching, deep therapeutic bodywork, and sometimes even utilization of Yoga Tune-Up Therapy Balls (developed by Jill Miller).
Myofacial Release (MFR)
Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests (x-rays, myelograms, CAT scans, electromyography, etc.) Each Myofascial Release Treatment session is performed directly on skin without oils, creams or machinery. This enables the therapist to accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate release of the fascia.
The Ultimate Experience - recommend either Uber or a ride if you are going to do this one (seriously people)....
When you combine Myofacial Release with Esalen massage, add in a dash of Kansa wand technique on face and feet, then incorporate doTerra premium oils to finish with the AromaTouch, you have a pampering experience that is not only healing, and rejuvenating, but the ULTIMATE in relaxation. Sessions are 130 minutes; so, clear your schedule for this one so you don't have to rush afterwards.
This is a very precise application of pure Essential Oils to the back, head and feet. These oils are known for their calming, balancing, anti-microbial, immune boosting and energizing properties…to name a few. The body always benefits from the power of human touch as well. This treatment is recommended once a month and should always be considered when you have: stress from work or family; cold and flu season; trouble getting enough sleep; air travel; emotional upsets; overworked muscles; or a need for rebalancing.
Oncology Massage (Medical Massage)
This massage style is for those who have been newly diagnosed, are currently in treatment, or anywhere from 1 day to 25 years out. Experience an open, caring, do no harm massage in a home, hospital environment, or my studio. Also available for caregivers must take care of themselves to give so much to others.
Studies have found that clients currently being treated with chemotherapy, or radiation, sleep better, have more energy, and don't feel as nauseas, when adding massage to their regimen of self-care.
A relaxing massage which is ideal for the corporate setting. This massage uses a lot of Shiatsu techniques to work out the kinks. I will bring my specially designed Massage Chair to your office or studio. Clients remain fully clothed and the massages are 10-15 minutes in duration but are still incredibly effective at reducing stress and tension. Many studies have shown just some of the benefits of regular Chair Massage to be less employee sick time and injury, and greater employee morale.
Employees spending too long hunched over their desks? Are the requests for standing desks sky rocketing? Yes, we spend WAY too much time sitting, however, standing as a platform on its own is not the complete answer.
It does not solve the issue of having your shoulders rolled so far forward they are competing with your chin? Perhaps you are wearing them as earrings...
When you first stand up do you feel it in your lower back?
If any of these things apply to you, you know they apply to your associates, co-workers, and employees. Which is why I have developed two (2) 30 minute workshops addressing different parts of the body:
1. Neck and Shoulders
2. Hip, Back, and Hamstrings
